Dog Events and Shows in 2024

At Bark Boutique, there’s nothing we love more than watching dog shows and competitions. When we’re not doing photoshoots with our models, we’re curled up on the sofa with Poppy and Levi watching our favourite shows.

Crufts 2024

Crufts 2024 was hosted at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC), Birmingham in March 2024. Crufts is the greatest and most prestigious dog show in the world which is held annually in the United Kingdom over 4 days.

Crufts is organised by The Kennel Club and attracts thousands of dogs with their owners and handlers every year to display their dogs’ skills, abilities and attributes to dog loving crowds.

Did you know last year’s event attracted 155,000 attendees and that’s not including their dogs.

One of the most exciting parts of Crufts is the world-famous Best in Show competition. Each winning dog from each breed group competes for the title of Best in Show. Did you know that 18,000 dogs compete for the world class title of Crufts Best in Show?!

The winner this year was Viking, a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd who took home the title on Sunday 10th March 2024. This is the second Australian Shepherd to win the Best in Show title for Crufts. The 6 other finalists were Elton a French Bulldog, Raffa a Papillion, Hendricks a Weimaraner, Nevile a Leonberger, Zen a Jack Russel Terrier and Getme a Basset Griffon Vendeen. Their owners must be so proud of them all.

Crufts is the ultimate celebration of dogs. This is actioned in many ways for example celebrating working dogs, including the police dog team action of the year award, the gamekeeper classes and celebrating rescue dogs in the rescue dog agility competition.

With over 500 hundred trade stands that sell everything and anything for dogs it truly is a shopping paradise for dog lovers looking to spoil their canine companions. New exciting unique products and special offers are a massive attraction to attend Crufts.

Crufts is a prime opportunity to gain knowledge and chat with Kennel Club Assured Breeders, breed experts and rescue charities about how to responsibly buy a dog and how to train and enjoy life with them.
